Narrative
Propp:
- Hero (the person you root for in the story),
- Villain (has a conflict with hero),
- Donor (gives the hero something to help them on their way),
- Princess (usually a prize or reward for the hero),
- Helper (helps the hero, often a bit dim),
- Dispatcher (sends the hero on their quest),
- The Father of the Princess (an authority figure who offers an award to the hero for completing their quest),
- False Hero (takes credit for the heroes actions and tries to marry the princess).
