Narrative

Propp:
  • Hero (the person you root for in the story),
  • Villain (has a conflict with hero),
  • Donor (gives the hero something to help them on their way),
  • Princess (usually a prize or reward for the hero),
  • Helper (helps the hero, often a bit dim),
  • Dispatcher (sends the hero on their quest),
  • The Father of the Princess (an authority figure who offers an award to the hero for completing their quest),
  • False Hero (takes credit for the heroes actions and tries to marry the princess).
